Pollstar Ranks Ruth Eckerd Hall #3 Venue in the World

Entertainment industry trade publication Pollstar announced the results of their first quarter report of worldwide ticket sales earlier this week and Ruth Eckerd Hall was ranked #3 in the world in venues with 2,500 seats or less with ticket sales for the period from January 1 to March 31, 2012. Overall Ruth Eckerd Hall is ranked #6 in the world with 94,441 in ticket sales.
Ruth Eckerd Hall ranked higher than such prestigious venues as Carol Morsani Hall in Tampa (the only other performing arts center in the Tampa Bay area to make the list), the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Radio City Music Hall in New York and the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
Ruth Eckerd Hall continues its 28th season with a stellar lineup of concerts and performances including Jon Stewart, Greg Lake, CREED, Jane’s Addiction, Kathy Griffin, Ringo Starr and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Entertainment industry trade publication Billboard magazine announced the results of their six month report earlier this month and Ruth Eckerd Hall was ranked #9 in the world of venues with 5,000 seats or less for the period from November 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011. Within that same ranking, Ruth Eckerd Hall is #1 with seats of 2,500 or less.
In addition, Venues Today, another industry trade publication recently announced the results of their six month report earlier this month and Ruth Eckerd Hall ranked #12 in the world of venues with 5,000 seats or less for the period of October 15, 2010 to May, 15, 2011. Within that same ranking, Ruth Eckerd Hall is #2 with seats of 2,500 or less.
